12/13/2009 - I would like to thank all of our staff, Board of Directors and volunteers for a very successful year here at Pride. Though 2009 was a challenge in many ways for our agency, Pride continued to provide excellent services to the individuals served. We are ending the year with over 30 jobs found for the inviduals we served even in one of the worst recessions in many years.
Our staff and many volunteers have worked very hard this year in ensuring that no matter the challenges, that our goal of providing employment opportunties for individuals with disabilities would continue. To all I say, "thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great job you all have done this year"!
In 2010, Pride is expected to grow even more. It will be a year that our agency seeks to establish a relationship with NISH, a national non-profit company that assists agencies such as Pride in obtaining federal set-aside jobs in federal buildings and other federal properties such as military bases. It is expected that by the end of 2010, Pride and Nish will working on the first contract for our agency.
So, as 2009 ends and 2010 begins, we at Pride will stepup, energize ourselves, and bring new innovation to the services and programs we offer. So, as we enter 2010, thank you to all for a GREAT 2009!
